Key Highlights
- The Focused Area Development Programme (FADP) was initiated to secure the sustainable livelihoods of Scheduled Tribe (ST) farmers from FY 2012-13 to 2018-19. During this period, 2.50 lakh ST farmers were benefited from 14 different region-specific focused activities implemented in different ITDAs.
- Mission Jeevika, an integrated livelihood development initiative, has facilitated the promotion of cluster development programs in 19 Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) blocks across 22 Integrated Tribal Development Agencies (ITDAs) from FY 2019-20 to 2022-23.
- Mission Jeevika has established 1444 clusters, benefiting 2.40 lakh tribal farmers during the period
- Through the PRAYAS Skill Development program, over 6000 Scheduled Tribe (ST) students participated in placement-linked training across various trades, resulting in 2000 students securing positions with agencies.
- 784 Village Development Plans (VDPs) have been implemented under the Pradhan Mantri Adi Adarsha Gram Yojana (PMAAGY), focusing on various development initiatives within tribal areas.
- During last 5 years 1800.00 cr rupees fund proposals have been submitted to Ministry of Tribal Affairs for development of Tribals under SCA to TSS and Article 275 (I).
- The Government of Odisha has announced the upscaling of the Mission Jeevika Plus program to the Mukhya Mantri Janjati Jeevika Mission (MJJM) under a state sector scheme, with a budget allocation of Rs. 500 crores.
